Police caught a trucker driving while using two mobile phones on a Leicestershire road.
The truck driver was caught behind the wheel yesterday by officers from the Leicestershire Roads Policing Unit.
Officers photographed the driver holding one mobile phone to his left ear while holding another phone in his right hand which was on the steering wheel.
Police, using the team’s unmarked HGV, recorded the driver committing the offence before pulling him over.
The RPU team took to Twitter to record the encounter in a bid to deter other drivers from committing similar crimes.
The message also serves to show that the RPU team is out and about and patrolling the county’s major roads.

The tweet said: “Another productive day of #OpTramline today in Leicestershire. This was absolutely UNBELIEVEABLE! This foreign HGV driver was using not 1 but 2 mobile phones whilst driving. Driver fined at roadside and will have UK licence record made to put his points on.”
