Update, May 8, 2020 (3:13AM ET): After sending out media invites for a global Poco launch event on May 12, the company is now teasing the same on Twitter.
Poco’s latest video teaser throws back to the Pocophone F1. The tweet also teases a “hidden message” at the end of the video. All we could spot is a bunch of user comments asking about when the Poco F2 will launch. This probably suggests Poco will unveil the F2 series on the upcoming launch date.

The company has teased similar user queries before launching the Poco X2 in India, so it very well could throw us a curve ball once again and launch a different phone.
We’ll keep an eye out for more Poco teasers and update you if the F2 series is indeed confirmed by the company.
Xiaomi’s Spanish PR agency has just sent virtual invites to a Poco event. The invites, sent to Android Authority as well, confirm an event scheduled for Tuesday May 12. So what should we actually expect then?
The official Poco Twitter account has revealed that the company will announce a “second generation” product. This all but guarantees that we’ll see a Poco F2 series phone, as we’re long overdue for a Poco F1 successor. And it would be too soon for a successor to the only other Poco device (the Poco X2), which launched earlier this year.

Recent leaks also point to a Poco M2 device, so it’s possible that we’ll see both the Poco F2 family and the Poco M2 series next week. But we definitely think the mention of a “second-generation” product means the Poco F1 successor will be revealed at the very least.
It’s also interesting to note that Xiaomi Spain sent us the invite, suggesting that this is a global or European launch rather than an India-only affair like the Poco X2.
