OLEAN, NY — Noon Friday is the deadline for nominations for the Greater Olean Area Chamber of Commerce’s two most prestigious awards, the Love of Olean United in Enterprise (L.O.U.I.E.) Award and the Enterprising Business Award, which will be presented during the chamber’s 115th annual dinner on Nov. 5.

The L.O.U.I.E. Award, according to a news release issued by the GOACC, is bestowed upon an individual who symbolizes the enterprising spirit for the greater Olean community, qualities Louis Marra embodied in his lifetime. Last year’s recipient was attorney Brian O’Connell Jr.

The Enterprising Business Award is presented to a business or a non-profit organization, which exemplifies the unique “hometown” charm of the Greater Olean area in manners of administration/operation, customer service or display of inventory, according to the news release. Both Henry H. Hill and Angee’s Restaurant were recipients of the award in 2019.
