Police have caught nine drivers speeding and two on their phones as they staged a crackdown on bad driving in Staffordshire.

A vehicle was also seized for having no insurance and officers carried out 25 roadside breath tests.

Officers from the Staffordshire Police Response team carried out the traffic operation earlier today.

A spokesman said: “Some of our officers have been busy on a Traffic Op today.

“They have conducted 25 road side breath tests, seized 1 uninsured vehicle, issued 2 tickets for drivers being on their phones & warned 16 drivers about their speed.

“They have also issued 9 speeding tickets!”
