It seems like EA is having a hard time containing leaks at the moment. Yesterday, a trailer for Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville leaked, and today, Need for Speed: Heat leaked in a number of different ways. Let me take you through what happened.

EA has been posting a number of trailers on YouTube, and one of them was accidentally labeled with the game’s name. A lot of gamers were able to see that it was called Need for Speed: Heat. However, the real proof came from Reddit where a few users used thumbnail grabbers to post images of the logo and much more. The information was posted on Twitter by Nibellion, and seems to indicate that the game takes place in 1980 or around that time. Let’s hope this part of the leak is true because that would be awesome!

As with any such leak, take it with a grain of salt until we receive official confirmation. For all we know, this may be an elaborate hoax or a red herring thrown by EA. However, this isn’t the first time the name Need for Speed: Heat has been thrown around, so I’m inclined to believe that there’s some truth to this. We should know by tomorrow.
