Lenovo announced a slew of ThinkBooks today, and the ThinkBook 15 Gen 2 is the biggest laptop from the bunch. The laptop will come in three variants, the ThinkBook 15p i, which is a high performance variant with an NVIDIA GTX 1650Ti and an X-Rite Pantone certified display, the ThinkBook 15 Gen 2 i, which has an 11th Gen Intel processor, and the ThinkBook 15 Gen 2 AMD, which is powered by an AMD Ryzen 4000 Series mobile processor. The laptop will be available in October starting at $949.
The ThinkBook 15 Gen 2 has a nice set of internals for a laptop in its category, including Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, and the latest processors. It also has a unique feature built into its body, Versa Bay that allows you to sore its earbuds directly within the body of the laptop. Storing the earbuds within the laptop charges them and instantly pairs them to the PC. The integrated wireless earbuds are optional if you prefer to use another setup for your audio.
The display of the ThinkBook 15 Gen 2 is FHD and has 100 percent sRGB. It also supports touch, which is especially handy when the laptop is folded flat.
The ThinkBook 15 15 Gen 2 packs the specs to handle a demanding professional workload. With Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5, and Thunderbolt 4, it supports modern connectivity across the board. It also has several graphics options to meet your specific workflow.
The ThinkBook 15 Gen 2 should go on sale in October with a starting price of $949, though it’s worth noting that the $949 starting price is for the high-performance model. At this time, Lenovo has only shared detailed specifications and pricing for select models. The company is expected to share pricing and details of all variants of the ThinkBook 15 Gen 2 in the future.
