Weather Channel COVID 19 Map

The Weather Channel is generally known for, you know, the weather. But amidst the current COVID-19 pandemic, they’re ready to branch out. Now you can use the Weather Channel Android app to view the current state of confirmed cases in the United States.

The app pulls its data from WHO and local governments, but it of course might not be 100% accurate if it can’t pull updated data from those sources. Still, though, it’ll give you a pretty good glimpse at the current state of things and where most outbreaks are happening.

You can zoom in to check on things at a more granular level, or just see state breakdowns at a glance. They’ve tried to color coordinate things to make it easier to discern where hotspots are, too.

The map is also available on their website if you don’t want to download an app just for this, especially since Google is trying to keep most coronavirus apps out of the Play Store right now.

I’m not entirely sure if this is good or bad for anyone’s anxiety, but it’s nice to have options to stay on top of things right now.
