Nick Blonde had a hat trick and an assist, and John Henry scored twice Monday to lead the Rockland High boys hockey team to a 6-2, non-league win over Cardinal Spellman.

Jake Higgins also scored for Rockland (2-1), and goaltender Thomas McSweeney made 13 saves.

Spellman got goals from Nick Crociati and John Dorsey.

BOYS HOCKEY

Abington 4, Middleboro 4: Abington’s John Polito tied the game with 1:56 remaining with his second goal of the day on Sunday. Mike Pineau and Dave McArthur also scored for Abington. Duncan Youngclaus, Matthew Ruggiero, Matthew Labolita and Dillon Bush scored for Middleboro.

Marshfield 2, Duxbury 2: The Rams won the Green Cup in a shootout, although the game officially counts as a tie. Brady Clark had the winning goal in the final round, and teammate Nick Souretis also scored, in the third round. Marshfield goaltender Aidan Healey stopped four of Duxbury’s five attempts in the shootout.

North Quincy 4, Plymouth South 2: Tyler Kelly scored twice, and Mike Gorman (first varsity goal) and Sean Feeney added strikes for NQ in the Patriot League win.

Plymouth North 3, Quincy 2: Logan Tomsello, Carter Mento and Cole Reposa scored for North in the Patriot League win. Pat Driscoll, Matt Vanetta, Kevin Norwood, Evan Hallissey and Reposa had assists.

Canton 2, North Attleboro 0: Jeffrey Chaput and Sam Carlino (empty net) scored for the Bulldogs in the Hockomock League win.

Archbishop Williams 5, Bishop Feehan 2: Matt Keenan scored his first career varsity goals for Williams (5-0-3). James O’toole (2 goals) and Conor Kelly (goal, 2 assists) also starred.

GIRLS HOCKEY

Quincy/North Quincy 9, West Bridgewater/East Bridgewater 0: Q/NQ (2-1-1) won at home.

GIRLS BASKETBALL

Malden Catholic 51, Fontbonne Academy 34: In the road loss, the Ducks (1-1) were led by senior Shakira Montalvo (8 points, 7 rebounds, 5 steals), sophomore Alix Abelard (7 points, 7 rebounds) and senior Emma Cahill (7 points, 3 rebounds).

Abington 42, Mashpee 35: Isabella O’Connell had 14 points and 4 steals as the Green Wave (2-3) won a South Shore League road game. Also starring: Mary Klein (7 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals), Gracie O’Connell (7 points), Liv Maguire (6 points, 11 rebounds) and Sarah Flanagan (6 points).

St. Mary’s (Lynn) 57, Archbishop Williams 31: Sophomore Elise Carter with 14 points and freshman Ellie Jackson had a strong game off the bench in the loss for the Bishops (2-5)

BOYS BASKETBALL

Archbishop Williams 70, St. Mary’s (Lynn) 61: Andre Mills Jr. scored 21 points as the Bishops (5-2) handed the Spartans their first loss of the season. Senior Jack McCarthy (Braintree) added 18 points while Will O’Malley had 17. 

GYMNASTICS

Hanover breaks record: The Hawks broke a school records by scoring a 138.35 at Sunday’s virtual meet. 

Kayleen Boutin won the all-around (35.7) thanks to first-place finishes in the vault (9.0), bars (8.6), and floor (9.4). Jadyn Molly was second in the all-around and won the beam (9.0). Delanie Condon was second on the vault and Holly Rossi was second in the floor (9.1).

Hingham stars: Ella Whitney won bars (8.5), beam (9.1) and floor exercise (9.0), and Elizabeth Schembri (33.8) and Marissa Lumnah (33.6) finished 1-2 in the all-around for Hingham, which scored 136.6 at Sunday’s virtual meet. Lumnah won vault (8.9) and was second on beam (8.8).

CO-ED SWIMMING

Archbishop Williams 101, Brockton 64: On Saturday, Williams senior Elizabeth Galicki swam a personal-best 1:05.83 in the 100 butterfly, and senior Sam Rossini swam a personal-best :23.72 in the 50 freestyle.
