Mimecast has hired Jonathan Corini to lead its channel partners as the company’s new senior vice president of global channel sales.

In this role, Corini will be responsible for the strategy and execution of Mimecast’s global channel program. The company says it wants to ensure Mimecast channel partners are supported, engaged and armed for success. This appointment will help “unify and strengthen” its commitment to the channel.

“Mimecast leans on partners as strategic advisers to help expand our global business,” Corini said. “As we plan to grow in the enterprise market, Mimecast’s technology partners, systems integrators and reseller community will be pivotal to that success. Exponential growth can be achieved when everyone is aligned and working toward the same set of goals.”

Corini said he looks forward to using his experience building and growing successful channel partner programs to further Mimecast’s presence in the enterprise, commercial, SMB and MSP markets.

20+ Years of Channel Experience

Prior to joining Mimecast, Corini was the vice president of worldwide channel sales at Forescout Technologies. Forescout channel partners span more than 90 countries and more than 1,000 resellers.

Early this year, Forescout launched its enhanced Envision partner program. Envision includes new incentive plans and discounts that focus on solving customer business issues. It also offers a revised training and development curriculum to address specific customer use cases.

Before that, Corini held management roles with Tanium, Intel Security and McAfee.

With Jonathan’s guidance, we’ll ensure our program provides strong value to our channel partners, tech partners and customers.”

In July, Mimecast announced it is buying MessageControl, the email and messaging security provider, to strengthen its email security strategy. MessageControl helps stop social engineering and human identity attacks with machine learning (ML) technology.
