Workers at Doyle Shipping stalled industrial action timed to begin on Monday to allow talks on their dispute over pay and conditions.
Members of trade union Siptu at the stevedoring company planned to begin rolling 72-hour work stoppages on July 19th in after serving notice on Doyle’s management earlier this month.
However, the union confirmed that it had suspended the industrial action for two weeks to allow talks between workers’ representatives and management.
Siptu said members voted for action in a bid to improve pay, conditions and to highlight safety concerns.
