Brass Tactics is a strategy game developed for VR. Described as a tabletop game come to life, Brass Tactics can be played in singleplayer or in co-op with a friend. If you own an Oculus Rift but you’ve never played this game, there’s great news: Brass Tactics is free to play on the Oculus Store for the weekend. If you own an Oculus Rift headset and you like strategy games, it’s well worth taking a look and trying it out for free.

Brass Tactics features a full campaign that is touted to last over six hours. You can customize your army with various units and upgrades, then wage war against the AI, even with a friend in co-op. There are three different unique AI “personalities” that you can fight against and each one has four different levels of difficulty, so you can find the appropriate level of challenge. There are over 20 different “handcrafted” maps to deploy your army on.

Brass Tactics is compatible with both the Oculus Rift and the Oculus Rift S. It’s also compatible with the Oculus Touch controller. It’s rated as a “Moderate” experience in terms of comfort, which means it should be okay for most people, though some might be sensitive to it at times.
