After Further Review is back with an unfiltered look at the Virginia Cavaliers 48-14 win over the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday.
After dropping back-to-back road games to the Notre Dame Fighting Irish and the Miami Hurricanes sandwiched around the bye week, UVA desperately needed a win to get the season back on track, but also to gain a key win in the ACC Coastal.
Heading into the game, Virginia, Duke and UNC were in the three-way tie atop the Coastal standings. By Saturday night, UVA was alone in first place in the division, with a head-to-head win over the team in second (Pitt), one against one of the three teams tied for third (Duke), and upcoming games against the other two, Virginia Tech and UNC.
Saturday was the perfect storm of defense creating turnovers, a special teams score, and opportunistic offense in bunches.
