Zilliqa [ZIL] working with Emont Alliance, set to advance the gaming world

Zilliqa, on July 3rd, posted a tweet announcing that it will be working closely with Emont Alliance, the company that assists developers to build and develop gaming APIs on the Ethereum network, and its member Emont Frenzy to advance the world of gaming.

In a proceeding tweet, Zilliqa posted about both the parties believing in ‘the higher throughput, and lower gas costs on Zilliqa’ and emerging as an aid leading to better gaming experiences for the gamer community; since decentralized games need frequent transactions.

Etheromon, which is also a member of Emont Alliance, has seen its transaction cost go up to as high as 100x, due to the hiked gas price that also went up to 100 Gwei recently. This is reportedly an issue that the teams are trying to solve.

According to a recent Etheromon blog, the scalability problem has not yet seen a solution for its blockchain games and the blog also mentions that it might be a while before they can come up with a concrete plan.

However, the team has not given up and has a ‘short-term approach’ to scalability. The team plans to do this by moving the Etheromon battles from on-chain to off-chain, still keeping the game-in assets with the users, on-chain.

Etheromon also said that following Zilliqa’s presence in the equation, a long-term solution to the problem may be introduced.

All this leads to changes such as the free cost of play through an energy system, rank mode reward, and on-chain data syncing. For every rank-mode win, the gamer can claim 0.2 EMONT, which is the native currency for blockchain games of Emont Alliance.
