“This sets us back” RACC finds smashed windshields, windows Saturday morning

RICHMOND, Va. (WRIC) – Richmond Animal Care and Control expresses frustration on social media Saturday morning after Officers find two trucks vandalized.

In a post on its Facebook page, the animal rescue group says two trucks in its fleet have cracked windshields and smashed out driver’s side windows.

The post describes some of the challenges RACC faces as it works to rescue animals in the Richmond community.

We are a small department with a limited fleet of trucks and a tiny budget. Needless destruction like this sets us back and is a waste of time and money for RACC. Our City security team is pulling footage to see if we can define a responsible party and until then we will pair up Officers in trucks and continue working to save animals lives.

The post asks anybody with information to contact the Richmond Police Department.

This is a developing story.
