Superhot, one of the most critically acclaimed first-person shooters (FPS) of the last few years, is now available in the Microsoft Store for Windows 10. Well, the non-VR version, that is; Superhot VR has been available in the Microsoft Store since 2017.
Superhot first launched in 2016, blending FPS action and strategy in a way that immediately felt fresh. The strategy bit of the game comes from the way your motion interacts with time. Time only moves when you do, which allows you to plan your attacks before unleashing them. But that seeming advantage comes at a cost: you’re constantly outnumbered, your health doesn’t regenerate, and the only source of fresh ammo is supplied by picking up guns dropped by your enemies.
There are a couple of ways to take on Superhot as well. In Endless Mode, you simply fight for your life to see how long you can survive against never-ending waves of enemies. Challenge Mode, meanwhile, serves up numerous ways to spice up the action, including fighting with your bare hands, timed runs, and more.
To mark its launch, Superhot for Windows 10 is currently available at 50 percent off its usual $25 price, dropping it down to $12.50. If you have a Windows Mixed Reality headset, you can also check out Superhot VR, while those who prefer to play on their console can also grab the game for Xbox One.
