LAKEWOOD, Ohio — Grand theft motor vehicle, Giel Avenue: Police received a call about 10:50 a.m. July 2 reporting that a car had been stolen out of a driveway. Police used a GPS system installed in the vehicle to determine that it was located on Ottawa Road in Cleveland. Cleveland police recovered the vehicle.
Grand theft motor vehicle, Delaware Avenue: Police received a call about 11:30 a.m. July 3 reporting that a rental car was missing from the home’s driveway. Police took a report and said they are working with the rental company.
Disorderly conduct, Sloane Avenue: Police responded about 1:20 a.m. July 5 to a home on a report of a man being drunk and breaking things. The man did not have any weapons, according to police. Responding officers arrested him for disorderly conduct while intoxicated.
Dangerous drugs, Madison Avenue: Police received a call about 7:15 p.m. July 4 from someone reporting that they were concerned for the safety of some people in a parked car. The caller reported seeing people inside the car “shooting up” drugs. Police responded and arrested one woman for drug abuse.
Robbery, West 117th Street: Police received a report about 7:30 p.m. July 3 that several people were stealing items from a store. A citizen called to report that two suspects rode away on bikes. Police searched the area and arrested two boys on charges of robbery, possessing criminal tools, criminal damaging and obstructing, according to a police call log.
Petty theft, Madison Avenue: Police responded about 8 a.m. July 2 to Lucas Sunoco regarding a male suspected of shoplifting. Police arrested the suspect for petty theft.
Driving under the influence, Franklin Boulevard: Officers stopped a car about 2:20 a.m. July 1 on Franklin Boulevard near West 117th Street. They arrested the woman driver for operating a vehicle while impaired and had the car towed.
Petty theft from vehicle, Orchard Grove Avenue: Police received a call about 9 a.m. July 1 that a parked car had been rummaged through and an iPhone was missing. A neighboring homeowner also reported that a van was entered overnight and several items were missing.
Driving under the influence, Hopkins Avenue: Police learned about 8 p.m. June 29 of a possibly impaired driver. Officers arrested the driver for operating a vehicle while impaired.
