Enterprise went 2-1 and finished second at this weekend’s St. James Tip-off Tournament in Montgomery.

The Wildcats edged Geneva 43-41 on Friday night and beat St. Paul’s 46-32 in the semifinals Saturday morning before losing to Park Crossing in the championship, 61-27, on Saturday evening.

In the win over Geneva, Korynn Hill had 14 points to lead the way. Gwen Mitchell had 15 and Hill 12 in the win over St. Paul’s and Hill had 11 to lead the ‘Cats in the loss to Park Crossing.

Geneva finishes fifth: Geneva also went 2-1 at the St. James Tournament and finished fifth.

The Panthers lost to Enterprise 43-41 on Friday, beat Trinity 44-21 on Saturday morning and beat Loachapoka 60-50 in the fifth-place game on Saturday afternoon.

In the loss to Enterprise, Nikki Lamb and Destiny Dennard both had 10 points. In the win over Trinity, Jesselyn Culverhouse had 12 points and Anslee Finch eight. Against Loachapoka, Finch had 15 points, Culverhouse 14 and Lamb 13.

Slocomb wins consolation: The Slocomb girls basketball team took the consolation game of the Daleville Tip-Off Tournament on Saturday, beating Houston Academy 45-30.

Zarria Austin had 13 points, 12 rebounds and eight blocked shots to pace Slocomb. Tori Clemmons added nine points.

Caley Caldwell led HA with 11 points and Kate Andrews had eight.
