new Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL were finally revealed to the world at a major launch event this week and come packed with plenty of new features and upgrades.

These latest Google-branded devices now include a refreshed design that is covered in glass which not only feels more premium in your hand but also allows the phones to be charged wirelessly.

Other bonus extras include a much faster Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor and improvements the front and rear cameras.

The single snapper on the rear case of the Pixel 3 now offers better pictures in low light and the ability to zoom with more accuracy.

Google has also included a feature called Top Shot which uses some clever artificial intelligence to help users capture the perfect photo every time.

Along with the rear camera getting an upgrade, there’s also an update to the front-facing selfie camera which can now get 184 percent more room in photos and can automatically shoot a selfie when you smile.

Those opting for the larger Pixel 3 XL get one final change with this device featuring an almost edge-to-edge display which spreads across the front of the device.

All of these new features were revealed during Google’s keynote on Tuesday but one thing they didn’t mention was the new eSIM support tucked inside the phone.

Apple recently announced its new iPhones include this dual SIM capability and it seems Google is following with its own technology.

This dual SIM allows the phone to have two separate numbers at once which is great for people who have a work and personal phone as well as those who travel.

The eSIM allows you to connect to local networks in many countries across the globe which can help reduce the expense of data roaming.

There’s no word on when the eSIM support will be switched on or if Google will allow two numbers to be used on a single device but there is mention of the feature on the Pixel 3 specs page. has also contacted EE who currently supports eSIM on the iPhone with a spokesperson saying: “We can confirm that EE will support the e-SIM functionality on the Pixel 3 range, further details will be announced in the near future.”

The Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL will arrive in stores on November 1 but has already received the devices and will bring you a full review very soon.
