It’s pretty rare that we ever see Verizon deploy Android updates before other carriers, but it looks like they’ve worked with Samsung to give the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ a timely experience with the latest One UI updates. Both of those devices are reportedly receiving OTA updates from the carrier right now.

This update brings the phones to Android 9.0, and marks the One UI version at 1.0. The January Android security patch is also included.

Verizon has updated their site to show the changelog for this update, including Android Pie’s new AI-enhanced features like Adaptive Battery, Adaptive Brightness, Slices, and better navigation, and it also details what’s new in Samsung’s radical interface overhaul. One UI feels more responsive and is positioned based on where your thumb will actually be on these tall screens, and it adds in a ton of dark modes and dark theming.

Go check for the update and let us know if you get it!
