Several bullet holes were discovered Wednesday in windows of a building that houses a Mobile TV station and radio offices and studios.
WKRG reported that “no one was injured during the incident and it appears the shots were fired after business hours Tuesday night or early Wednesday morning.”
The station said police were investigating and anyone with information is asked to call 251-208-7211.
The building on Bel Air Boulevard is occupied by Nexstar Broadcasting station WKRG and by iHeart Media, which operates several area radio stations. It faces the Shoppes at Bel Air Mall, where an incident of gunfire was reported on Tuesday: According to Mobile Police, two men were involved in an argument in a store inside the mall and one pulled a gun and began firing.
No one was hurt, but the suspects fled the location. That incident occurred at about 8:30 p.m. Tuesday.
As of Wednesday, police had not announced whether they believe there was a connection between the two incidents.
