MOBILE, Ala (WKRG) – New low-cost flights are now available at the Mobile Regional Airport. Beginning Thursday, Via airlines will now offer non-stop flights from Mobile to Orlando.
There was lots of excitement about the announcement Thursday at Mobile Regional Airport. This is the first new route at the airport since 2013 when United started the Chicago route. It’s the first new airline for Mobile since 2003.
The route will run 4 days a week, Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday. There will be 1 flight each day non-stop before. Before this, travelers had had to drive to either Gulfport or Pensacola to get to Orlando.
