GREENVILLE, SC (WSPA) – There have been 313 auto breakins in Greenville since the beginning of the year, according to Greenville Police.

Police say in 24 of those breakins – a gun was stolen.

Of those 24 – 14 of the vehicles were unlocked.

Police say people are not being responsible gun owners and are putting guns in the hands of criminals.

Police say to lock your vehicle and keep valuables out of sight.
