Despite having acquired Israeli navigation app Waze in 2013, Google is only now beginning to roll out some of Waze’s most popular features in its own Google Maps, the first of which is likely to be incident reporting.

Some Android users recently noticed the new option on their phone, and they have been able to access notifications on road work, accident report times and previously reported traffic jams on their routes.

According to The Verge, Google confirmed the feature has been available for “several months” on beta users’ phones. Still, it is not yet confirmed when it will be accessible to all Android users and iPhones.

Once it does arrive, though, users will be able to know what is causing a slowdown and when the incident started. Like on Waze, users will also be able to report incidents as well. (sul/mut)
