Enjoy the summer with a hot gaming PC.
If you haven’t made the leap into the world of PC gaming, Walmart has a bunch of gaming laptops and gaming PCs to help you on your journey to PC enlightenment. Sadly the Steam Summer Sale just ended, so you can’t load up your new PC with games on the cheap right away. But don’t despair: buy a gaming PC now and be fully prepared for the next Steam sale to roll along, emptying your wallet while you fill up your hard drive. Don’t forget about places like GOG.com, either. And then there’s a game called Fortnite people seem to be enjoying, and that one is free. There’s plenty of ways to get your game on and these PCs are a great place to get started.
Lenovo 15-inch GTX 1050Ti 1TB HDD Gaming Laptop
Gaming laptops have come a long way in a relatively short amount of time, in terms of power and price. This is a solid gaming laptop that will run basically every modern game at medium settings, and your older games will look phenomenal too.
Lenovo 15-inch GTX 1050Ti 128GB SSD + 1TB HDD 16GB RAM Gaming Laptop
This is the same computer as the one above with a few extras tossed in for good measure. This one has an SSD and a storage hard drive, in addition to an extra 8GB of RAM compared to the $749 version. An SSD makes a huge difference in performance so if you can scrounge up the cash, I’d recommend this over the cheaper model.
Dell Inspiron AMD Ryzen 7 Desktop Gaming PC
Dell’s Inspiron gaming PCs are a great meeting of power and value. This one is all-in on AMD, with both an AMD processor and graphics card. The Inspiron desktops are also super easy to expand, so if you find a deal down the road on a more powerful GPU, swapping it out is a snap.
Dell XPS 15-inch 4K Touch Screen Gaming Laptop
This ultra-thin Dell XPS has a 4K touch-enabled display. Its GTX 1050 should have no problem pushing modern games at 1080p, but probably not at 4K. But 4K streaming content shouldn’t be a problem. Plus Dell’s 4K displays are gorgeous, so consider this one if you have a little extra cash to burn.
Dell Inspiron 15-inch GTX 1050 4GB Gaming Laptop
Straight up, this is the laptop I recommend most often to people asking me for gaming laptop recommendations. This particular version has a GTX 1050 4GB GPU and an i7-7700HQ CPU. But best of all, it comes with a 512GB SSD, which means your game library can enjoy a little more breathing room and reap the benefits of an SSD.
Dell Inspiron 15-inch GTX 1060 6GB Gaming Laptop
This is the bigger sibling to the Dell Inspiron up there. It costs more but you get more. A lot more, actually. A 1TB HDD stores all your stuff and the OS lives on a 128GB SSD. There’s also a GTX 1060 6GB graphics card, which is maybe the best bang for your buck in graphics right now. An Intel i7-7700HQ and 16GB DDR4 memory is icing on the cake.
iBUYPOWER GTX 1050 Ti 4GB Desktop Gaming PC
Seemingly out of nowhere, iBUYPOWER made a name for itself by building decent PCs for not a lot of money. This one rocks a GTX 1050 Ti and an Intel i5-7400, along with a generous 1TB HDD. It’s also a snap to upgrade and best of all comes with ominous LED lighting.
iBUYPOWER RX 560 4GB Desktop Gaming PC
If you want to save even more on a solid desktop gaming PC, this AMD tower from iBUYPOWER is a good bet. It has an AMD FX-8320 and an RX 560 4GB GPU, plus 1TB storage and a nice space-ship looking tower for it to live inside of.
