WAUNAKEE, Wis. – Two Mercedes cars, a Dodge Durango and multiple other items were stolen Friday morning, according to a news release from the Waunakee Police Department.
Officials say at least five homes were hit overnight after multiple residents woke up to find a burglar had rummaged through their cars and stolen items from their homes.
Officials said they responded to a report for a burglary around 4:15 a.m. at a home on Woodbridge Trail.
The first report came from a victim who had woken up to the sound of their garage door opening and closing. According to police, the burglars had rummaged through the vehicles that were parked in the driveway.
Officials then received four more reports of burglaries on Bluebird Trail, Woodbridge Trail, Franconia Court and Aroboretum Court.
Three vehicles were stolen throughout the early hours of the morning, including a black 2013 Mercedes C300, a gray 2014 Mercedes E350 and a blue 2004 Dodge Durango. Officials believe the thieves gained entry through unlocked vehicles and garage doors.
In at least three cases, the burglars went into the residence and stole electronics and other property.
Officials do not have any suspects at this time. Waunakee police are offering a cash reward for anyone with information that leads to the arrest of the people involved in these cases. Tips can be called in at 608-849-4523.
